Position: Diesel Truck Technician Lihue - HOURLY PAY

Position Overview

Enterprise Mobility is seeking a full‑time Diesel Automotive Technician to perform car and bus service, repair, preventive maintenance and in‑field service at our Service Center in Lihue, HI.

Compensation

Starting pay is $36.00 per hour, with the opportunity to earn up to an additional $12.00 per hour for approved ASE certifications and $1.00 per hour for a current Safety License Certification.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure all warranty and mechanical repairs are completed according to manufacturer specifications.
  • Provide safe and reliable vehicles upon completion of repairs.
  • Perform routine and annual DOT required repairs and inspections.
  • Read and interpret diagnostic test results using dials, gauges and computer equipment.
  • Raise trucks, buses and heavy parts by using hydraulic jacks or hoists.
  • Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, transmissions, engines and other parts of vehicles.
  • Perform routine maintenance such as oil change, battery check and equipment lubrication.
  • Maintain repair history by accurately documenting Repair Orders.
  • Comply with part and inventory tracking procedures.
  • Utilize manufacturer websites, software and diagnostic tools.
  • May process new fleet, LOFR, tires, fuel reclamation or buy‑backs.
  • Participate in company and manufacturer approved training.
  • Maintain a safe, clean work area and comply with uniform and equipment standards.
  • Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • At least 18 years old.
  • Valid driver’s license with no more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years.
  • No DUI/DWI convictions on driving record in the past 5 years.
  • Fluent reading, writing and speaking English.
  • Complete PUC and pre‑employment drug test with required certifications.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without required sponsorship.
  • Two years of mechanical experience in a diesel repair shop servicing current model vehicles required.
  • Own standard hand tools for current vehicle repairs and maintenance.
  • Four current and valid ASE certifications required or must obtain at least 4 GP approved ASEs within 9 months of start date.
  • Class 4 license or ability to obtain to operate vehicles with GVWR > 18K.
  • Able to lift 50 lbs during maintenance or repairs.
  • Full‑time (40 hrs/week) flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
