General Merchandise and Food Sales team leads inbound, outbound, replenishment, inventory accuracy, presentation, pricing and promotional signing processes for General Merchandise (GM) areas of the store. The team enables a consistent experience for our guests and supports Food & Beverage and Food Service, providing a fresh and food safe experience. The inbound expert enables efficient delivery to our guests by owning pick, pack and ship fulfillment work.

• Execute a detailed, accurate and efficient sorting operation.
• Stock, organize and store reserve product and straighten merchandise on the sales floor.
• Maintain product availability on the sales floor for GM categories.
• Operate powered equipment as necessary while unloading freight or moving merchandise.
• Process defective merchandise and handle environmentally sensitive (ESIM) items in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance.
• Work in a safe manner at all times; comply with all safety policies, best practices, and training; report hazards and correct where possible.
• Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pick up (OPU) and Drive up (DU) and maintain a compliance culture while executing those duties, including compliance with federal, state, and local adult beverage laws.
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you are completing your daily tasks and assist guests in solving their needs.
• Thank guests and let them know we’re happy they chose to shop at Target.

• You are open to a flexible schedule with varying hours, days or shifts (including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak shopping times).

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and team members
• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology as directed
• Work independently or as part of a team
• Resolve guest questions quickly on the spot
• Attention to detail and ability to follow multi-step processes
• Ability to remain focused in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within time frames

• Accurately handle cash register operations as needed
• Climb up and down ladders
• Scan, handle and move merchandise safely, including frequently lifting or moving up to 44 pounds
• Flexible work schedule (nights, weekends, holidays) with reliable attendance
• Capable of working in varying temperatures and conditions while performing job duties (e.g., Drive-Up, carryout)
• Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a shift
