Parking Lot Supervisor – Wailua River State Park

Position: Parking Lot Supervisor

Location: Wailua River State Park, Lihue

Department: Operations – Field (OPS
001)

Pay Rate: $22/hour

Shifts: Monday to Friday day shifts; some weekends required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise parking attendants, cashiers, and enforcement staff assigned to the lot.
  • Oversee vehicle entry/exit flow, lot occupancy, and space availability to optimise efficiency.
  • Ensure staff provide courteous and timely service to customers.
  • Monitor adherence to parking rules, ticketing procedures, and fee collection.
  • Handle and resolve customer concerns, disputes, or incidents professionally.
  • Conduct routine inspections to ensure cleanliness, safety, and operational readiness of the lot.
  • Train new staff on procedures, safety practices, and customer service expectations.
  • Verify accuracy of collected revenue and ensure timely bank deposits or handoffs.
  • Coordinate with maintenance or technical staff for repairs to gates, pay stations, or signage.
  • Maintain accurate records of staffing, incidents, and shift activities.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in business or related field is a plus.
  • 2+ years of experience in parking operations, including supervisory responsibilities.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and conflict‑resolution skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with parking management or POS systems.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Physical Demands & Working Conditions
  • Work is نقل performed outdoors and indoors, with exposure to varying weather conditions.
  • Frequent standing, walking, and moving throughout the parking area.
  • May require lifting or moving equipment or supplies up to 25 lbs.
  • Possible exposure to vehicle noise, traffic fumes, and outdoor elements.
  • Must be able to respond quickly in emergencies or high‑traffic situations.
