Join Our Team at Hawaiian Building Maintenance (HBM)!
We are looking to hire a highly motivated, reliable, and trustworthy individual with exceptional customer service skills and detail oriented to become a part of Hawaiian Building Maintenance. The Custodian will ensure the cleanliness of a retail center and following assigned cleaning duties. While prior experience in custodial, janitorial work, housekeeping, or a related field is preferred, we welcome enthusiastic candidates to apply!

Status: Part-time
Position: Custodian
Schedule: Saturday and Sunday: 6:00am - 2:30pm or 1:00pm - 9:30pm (Weekends, 16 hours weekly)
Compensation per hour: $16.48
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain a high standard of cleanliness by: cleaning food court, restroom, offices, walk paths, and storage areas
Sweep, dust, mop, remove trash and place in designated areas, and clean common areas
Performing deep cleaning: carpet and window cleaning if required Restock cleaning supplies as needed
Notify the appropriate HBM employee regarding necessary supplies and equipment
Use of a leaf blower Adhere to safety procedures Report safety issues or building problems (e.g., burnt light bulbs)
Multi-task and work efficiently, both independently and in a team setting
Uphold professionalism and customer service standards at all times
Communicate effectively with supervisors and co-workers
Perform any other duties as assigned
Skills/
Qualifications:
Must pass HBM prescreen.
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Valid Hawaii driver's license preferred.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English.
Strong public relations and communication skills.
Previous experience in custodial / janitorial work, housekeeping, maintenance or related fields is preferred.
Applicants should be able to perform basic manual labor, clean common areas, and frequently lift, push, pull, or carry a minimum of 25 lbs (up to 50 lbs).
Candidates must also be able to reach overhead, grasp objects, bend, kneel, crawl, squat, climb, stretch, walk, and stand throughout their shifts.
