Kuhio Ford is seeking an experienced Automotive Painter to join our body shop team. This role is responsible for preparing, painting, and refinishing vehicles to manufacturer and dealership standards. The ideal candidate has a strong attention to detail, understands proper paint processes, and can work efficiently in a fast paced collision repair environment.

• Strongest pay structure in all of Kauai

• Full time

• Day shift

• Monday through Friday

• Occasional Saturdays as needed

• Ability to commute to Lihue, HI required

• In person, on site position

• Valid driver’s license required

• Prepare vehicles for paint including sanding, masking, and priming

• Mix and apply paint according to manufacturer specifications

• Refinish panels and full vehicles to meet quality standards

• Inspect completed work for color match, finish quality, and defects

• Maintain a clean and safe paint booth and work area

• Follow all safety and environmental regulations, including hazardous material handling

• Communicate repair status with body shop management

• Document materials and repairs accurately

• Previous automotive painting or body shop experience required

• Knowledge of paint systems, color matching, and refinishing techniques

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong attention to detail and quality control

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
