Monday-Friday | 09:00-17:00 | Hybrid Working Available

Staffordshire County Council is recruiting an experienced Senior Social Worker / Advanced Practitioner (Grade 10) to join a supportive and forward-thinking Children & Families Service on a locum basis.

This is a high-impact role for a confident practitioner passionate about strengths-based, restorative practice, early intervention, and helping families thrive within their communities.

The Role

Managing complex cases and delivering high-quality social work interventions

Using restorative and strengths-based approaches to support children and families

Supporting families to develop their own plans through Family Meetings and Family Group Conferences

Completing high-quality assessments and reports for court, Child Protection Conferences and statutory reviews

Reviewing and monitoring children and family plans to achieve aspirational outcomes

Working collaboratively with families, colleagues and partner agencies

Maintaining accurate records in line with organisational policies and ICS requirements

Contributing to service development, policy and new initiatives

Upholding BASW Code of Ethics and Social Work England professional standards

Deputising for the Team Manager when required
