- Preparing, cooking, and presenting high-quality dishes in accordance with established recipes and menus.
- Supervising and coordinating kitchen staff during service.
- Assisting in the planning and development of seasonal menus and daily specials.
- Monitoring portion sizes, food costs, and waste control to ensure profitability.
- Ensuring compliance with all food hygiene, health, and safety standards (HACCP).
- Managing stock rotation, ordering, and storage of ingredients.
- Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of all kitchen areas.
- Training and supporting junior kitchen staff as required.
- Minimum 3 years’ full-time professional experience as a Chef in a commercial kitchen environment.
- Qualification at or above RQF Level 3 (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Professional Cookery or equivalent).
- Sound knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and allergen management.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a busy kitchen environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- High attention to detail and commitment to consistent quality.
