We are offering an exciting opportunity for a part time Band 6 Community Mental Health Practitioner to work with individuals with complex emotional needs based in clinic or community venues within Lichfield and Burntwood.
The Role Will Involve- Delivering group based and individual interventions in line with the pathway model and utilising Structured Clinical Management (SCM). There will be a requirement to undertake the role of named worker for a caseload of service users.
- Some individual and group-based interventions are being delivered remotely, and the successful candidate will therefore have strong ICT skills and be able to communicate effectively with others through technology.
- Participate in both delivering and receiving a range of clinical supervision and professional and clinical development within the pathway.
- Provide consultation, support and clinical supervision to other health professionals working within the Integrated Community Mental Health Services and Older Adults service and other areas of the Trust where identified as appropriate.

The services use therapeutic models including Structured Clinical Management (SCM), attachment theory, behavioural theory, Compassion-Focussed Therapy, EMDR, Trauma-Focussed Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Mentalisation-Based Treatment. The successful candidate will be offered the opportunity to develop into becoming a Structured Clinical Management Practitioner. They will use the knowledge and skills that they already have to provide individual sessions and workshop interventions.

Person Specification Qualifications And TrainingEssential criteria
- A recorded/registered qualification in one of the following in CMHN, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Psychological Therapy
- Post qualification experience, such as evidence of formal courses and training relevant to people with complex mental health needs related to emotional instability
Desirable criteria
- Qualification in psychological interventions such as DBT, SCM, CBT, EMDR, MBT, relevant to a client group with complex mental health needs
Essential criteria
- Experience of working with a client group who present with difficulties relating to emotional dysregulation, high risk challenging and chaotic behaviour, highly complex needs relating to trauma
- Experience of working with people who have difficulty in engaging with services
- Experience of working with people engaging in high risk behaviours and self harm
Desirable criteria
- Experience of working within a structured therapeutic model individually and in group settings
- Experience of facilitating psycho-educational and/or skills based groups
