Cleaner; Temporary

Position: Cleaner (Temporary)
Zest Education is recruiting a reliable and hardworking Cleaner to join a school based in Lichfield. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and creating a safe, welcoming environment for pupils and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

* Carry out daily cleaning duties across classrooms, offices, corridors, and communal areas

* Ensure toilets, washrooms, and dining areas are cleaned and maintained to a high standard

* Use cleaning equipment and materials safely and effectively

* Follow health and safety procedures, including COSHH regulations

* Report any maintenance or repair issues to the site manager

* Support the school in maintaining a hygienic and safe environment for all

Ideal Candidate:

Previous experience in cleaning, ideally within a school or similar environment

Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently

Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions

Knowledge of cleaning products and safe working practices

Understanding of safeguarding responsibilities

Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)

Zest Education are an APSCo audited agency and are dedicated to safeguarding children. All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
