Orthopedics PA​/NP - Inpatient

Location: Libertyville, Illinois (Northern Chicago Suburbs)

A highly successful orthopedic practice in the Northern Chicago suburbs (Libertyville, IL) is seeking a skilled Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join their team.

This is a premier lifestyle position offering a stable schedule at a single hospital location. The ideal candidate is a provider who enjoys the inpatient side of orthopedics—managing rounds and consults—without the burnout of on-call duties or travel between multiple sites.

• Inpatient Management: Primary duties include overseeing daily hospital rounding and managing inpatient consults for orthopedic patients.
• Surgical Assist: Occasional opportunities to first-assist in the Operating Room (OR) for interested candidates.
• Clinic: Occasional coverage in the outpatient clinic (though the primary focus is inpatient).
• Collaboration: Work closely with orthopedic surgeons to coordinate patient care and discharge planning.

• Licensure: Current or eligible for Illinois Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner license.
• Certification: DEA License required.
• Experience: Previous experience in Orthopedic Surgery
  , or another relevant surgical/inpatient specialty is preferred.
• Candidates must be comfortable with inpatient rounding protocols and hospital consults.
