Assignment Overview
- Department: Respiratory Therapy – Pulmonary Services
- Patient Population: Full lifespan (Pediatric, Adult, Geriatric)
- Experience
Required:
Minimum 2 years across full lifespan patients
Required Qualifications
- Active Illinois Respiratory Therapist License
- Active RRT credential (CRT also accepted)
- AHA
Certifications: - BLS
- ACLS
- PALS
- NRP Certification
- EPIC experience required
Required Technical Skills
- Tracheostomy care
- Nitrous oxide procedures
- Proning techniques
- ECMO experience
- Critical care respiratory management
- Ventilator-associated pneumonia (VAP) management and/or prevention
- Spontaneous Breathing Trials (SBT)
- Arterial Blood Gas (ABG) draws
Patient Ratios
- 1:1 patient ratio
Charting System
- EPIC (required)
