Project Engineer, Operations Manager

Our rapidly growing client is seeking a Project Engineer to support key operational and strategic initiatives across their manufacturing organization. This role will play a critical part in driving projects from concept through execution while partnering closely with production, engineering, and leadership teams. The position is designed as a leadership development opportunity, with a clear path to grow into a management role.

• Lead cross‑functional projects focused on operational improvements, new initiatives, and business priorities
• Manage project timelines, budgets, deliverables, and stakeholder communication from initiation through completion
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and team members
• Drive continuous improvement (CI) initiatives to improve efficiency, quality, and throughput
• Identify process gaps and implement sustainable solutions across manufacturing operations
• Collaborate with production leadership to support daily operations and long‑term strategic goals
• Develop documentation, workflows, and standardized processes to support scalability
• Track project performance metrics and present updates to leadership

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or related field)
• 5+ years of engineering or project management experience within a manufacturing environment preferred
• Strong project management skills with the ability to lead initiatives and influence teams
• Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, etc.)
• Leadership or mentoring experience strongly preferred
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to operate both strategically and hands‑on within operations
