Position Title: Assistant Coach - Girls Water Polo

Reports To: Director of Athletics

Season: Spring

• The assistant coach supports the head coach in running the athletic program in line with school district policies and IHSA regulations.
• Help implement training, practices, and game plans while mentoring student-athletes in teamwork, sportsmanship, and development.
• Ensure eligibility compliance, assist with recruitment, and maintain clear communication.
• Support administrative tasks, uphold school policies, and serve as a positive role model.

• Professional Educator License, Educator License with Stipulations for Paraprofessional – ELS (PARA), Substitute (SUB license must be registered in Lake County), or NFHS certification
• Previous experience preferred, but not required
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills
• Strong work ethic and organizational skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Ability to work positively and productively with adults and student participants
