Who We AreWaukegan Community Unit School District No. 60 serves nearly 14,000 students in preschool through grade 12 and is located halfway between Chicago, Illinois and Milwaukee, Wisconsin on the shores of Lake Michigan. Our District has one early learning center, 15 elementary schools, five middle schools and a high school program divided between two 9–12th grade campuses. The District encompasses portions of Waukegan, Beach Park and Park City.

Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe 2018 Summer School Program will begin on June 18 and will continue until July 19, 2018. Psychologists will work 5 hours per day or as needed dependent on IEP minutes to be met, Monday – Thursday. Attendance is mandatory at all professional development sessions scheduled on June 13 & 14, 2018.

- Participate in the identification and solution of school problems;
- Develop/evaluate IEPs and BIPs;
- Consult with the classroom teacher to help the teacher better understand and work with particular classes of students;
- Communicates effectively with administration, other staff members and parents;
- Attend and participate in IEP meetings;
- Complete necessary paperwork according to district, federal and state policy;
- Effectively intervenes in a crisis;
- Perform other duties assigned by the Special Education Coordinator/Administrator.
Must hold Illinois Type 73 Psychologist License
SalaryPsychologist will be paid a stipend of $35.00 per hour. Federal and State withholding will be taken from the amount earned. Absences or tardiness will result in decreased amount as indicated in this job description.
Additional InformationFailure to fulfill these duties and responsibilities may result in dismissal from the program. No more than two days can be missed without jeopardizing dismissal and termination of the contract unless extenuating circumstances prevail.
