From our headquarters in Libertyville, IL Snap-on Credit provides financing to technicians, students of automotive technical institutions, and shop owners for the purchase of Snap-on hand tools, power tools, tool storage, and diagnostic products through our Extended Credit program.

Position Summary:

Primary responsibility is the management and collection of the Snap-on Industrial EC portfolio, performing in a manner that will achieve corporate, regional, and individual performance standards.

Responsibilities

Major Responsibilities:

* Make outbound calls on accounts where payments have been missed and resolve service issues while controlling delinquency

* Escalate any important issues to the attention of the Industrial Senior Account Manager

* Resolve customer delinquency problems or vendor delivery issues so as to retain customers and achieve permanent corrective action. Make arrangement to obtain customer payments, process phone payments, etc.

* Answer field and customer questions concerning the credit program and account status.

* Quote payoffs, provide account status, facilitate resolution of Vendor issues, etc.

* Manage transition of post-graduation accounts to appropriate servicing Franchisees

* Ensure day to day activities and collection procedures adhere to corporate policy

* Counsel and advise Industrial sales & management team on credit sales, collections, and customer credit concerns

* Promote Snap-on Credit's EC program

* Educate Industrial field sales personnel on EC program features and benefits

* Handle inbound customer, Account Manager, and Franchisee calls with questions about Industrial EC accounts

* Other duties as required

Qualifications

Requirements:

* 1-3+ years of professional business experience

Preferred:

* BS or BA degree or equivalent professional experience

* 1-3 years of credit and collections experience

Business understanding and demonstrated skills and knowledge in:

* Credit and collections

* Credit laws and regulations

* Reporting requirements

* Communications - verbal and written

* Computer applications

* Skip Tracing

* Negotiation

Effort:
Normal working hours, limited travel
