Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Telemetry Float Pool position, requiring MS/Telemetry experience and night shift availability.

• Position is in the Telemetry Float Pool of a hospital setting
• Work 12-hour night shifts from
• Float assignments based on skills, with travelers first to float
• Patient population includes those receiving medications such as Amiodarone, Cardizem, Heparin, and Nitroglycerin
• Weekend work is required every other weekend
• No on-call responsibilities
• Holiday shifts are required
• Provide telemetry nursing care for a variety of patients based on floating assignments
• Complete a structured orientation: 2 days classroom, 2 days facility-specific, and 1 clinical day
• Facility is nicotine-free and compliance with this policy is required
• Holiday shift coverage is required as part of this role
• Both local and travel candidates are accepted at the same pay rate except for specific campus exclusions

• Active RN license in MO or compact state
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum experience in MS/Telemetry including administration of medications such as Amiodarone, Cardizem, Heparin, and Nitroglycerin
• Progressive Care (Step-Down) and ICU experience preferred, including knowledge of Levophed, Nicardipine, Dopamine, Milrinone, Neosynephrine, and Dobutamine
• TNCC certification required only if candidate has ICU experience
• New graduates will not be considered
