Wet Paint Technician

$45,760-$56,160/hour

6am-4:30pm Monday-Thursday

The Skilled Paint Technician plays a vital role in ensuring high-quality finishes on automotive products. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work with advanced painting equipment in a dynamic environment, perfect for individuals eager to develop their skills in automotive finishing. This is a direct hire role in Liberty, MO.

• Perform advanced wet painting
• Prepare product prior to paint application
• Prepare paint equipment as required
• Paint product per job instructions
• Make adjustments to paint machine as needed to maintain good quality and production
• Perform cross hatch paint adhesion test
• Check all parts of paint booth for wear, malfunction, and replace as needed
• Set up paint, set up and adjust paint guns, and paint samples
• Troubleshoot most common recurring problems without assistance
• Perform required maintenance on paint equipment
• Assist in cleaning of paint booths
• Handle paint, paint related materials and hazardous wastes properly
• Other duties as assigned

• Working knowledge of wet paint booth and knowledge of processes
• Ability to change over color modules for paint booths
• Troubleshooting skills
• 1-2 years of prior painting experience
• Previous automotive experience is a plus
