Custodian - (Full Time /Mid-Shift)

The Custodian is responsible for the routine care and upkeep of an assigned facility by performing a variety of duties to maintain the facility in an attractive, safe and sanitary manner. The Custodian also assists in preparing facilities for classroom activities, and district, building and community events.

This is a 12 month position. Full time Custodians are eligible for benefits as listed below.

• Evenings, Monday through Friday – Day‑shift is 11:00 am - 7:30 pm

$17.24 - $21.63 per hour (based on relevant work experience)

• Cleans assigned classrooms, offices, gym, restrooms, and/or grounds (e.g. vacuums, mops, sweeps, dusts, wipes down surfaces, empties pencil sharpeners, trash, and recycling, replenishing supplies, etc.)
• Performs summer maintenance deep clean (e.g. strip/wax floors, moves furniture, washes walls, windows, floorboards and furniture, etc.)
• Performs minor maintenance as needed (e.g. replaces ceiling tiles, light bulbs, and air filters; changes vacuum bags, etc.)
• Secures facilities and grounds (e.g. locks doors and gates, sets alarms, turns off lights, etc.)
• Interacts positively with team, staff members, students and guests.

• One or more years’ experience in a custodian, housekeeper, or janitor position is preferred.
• Able to perform snow or ice removal during times of inclement weather.
• Must pass a pre‑employment background check (physical exam, drug test, and criminal justice fingerprint/background clearance).
