Overview & Responsibilities

This position is 100% onsite in Liberty, MO. The typical work schedule is Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.

Join a dynamic 6-person engineering team at a leading industrial manufacturer. The team is expanding to meet surging sales demand for specialized products like rupture discs and holders. This entry-level role is designed for a motivated engineer who wants to master Solid Works and learn the ropes of industrial design through a comprehensive 2-year development curve. You will…

• Develop 3D CAD models and designs for mechanical parts, moving from redlines to full models.
• Build and maintain part attributes and structures within the IFS ERP system.
• Create certified customer drawings and detailed manufacturing drawings to support the production and sales teams.
• Collaborate directly with the shop floor team to understand how products are built and assist with tooling drawings.
• Document all design files and specific design processes according to company standards.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Required).
• Experience or academic proficiency in Solid Works.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to read complex manufacturing drawings.
• Excellent communication skills and an "eager to learn" attitude.
• Ability to work onsite daily and wear standard PPE (safety glasses/shoes) when on the shop floor.

• Familiarity with AutoCAD for accessing historical library data.
• Understanding of basic geometry and mechanical drawings.
• Prior experience or internships in an industrial manufacturing environment.
