The University of Kansas Health System is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Cardiothoracic Surgeon who enjoys collaborative CTS team practice in a fast-paced, highly acute, and diverse clinical environment. Being one of two surgeons at a respected suburban hospital provides a wide range and variety of cases and the opportunity to become a recognized pillar of the community. The affiliation with The University of Kansas Health System enables an academic position at the University of Kansas School of Medicine alongside a busy community practice in a rapidly growing metropolitan region and a large rural community.

The University of Kansas Cancer Center is an NCI-designated center with increasing robotic lung cancer volumes and a multidisciplinary tumor board supporting contemporary, evidence-based care.

The candidate is expected to have superb surgical skills in all aspects of cardiac and thoracic surgery, be board certified or eligible in thoracic surgery, and possess broad experience with targeted quality outcome measures. The position involves collaborative, high-intensity clinical practice within a CTS team and opportunities for academic engagement.
