The Seasonal Meter Technician will be responsible for the removal and replacement of water meters and transmitters with advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) cellular water meters and transmitters. The technician will work to ensure accurate and efficient meter installations while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality. This is a highly important project initiative for Del-Co to do these meter transition upgrades.

• Remove and replace in ground water meters and transmitters
• Test new meters to make sure they’re working and communicating properly with the system.
• When required, inform customers about the meter change and answer any questions.
• Follow safety guidelines while installing meters and handling equipment.
• Keep accurate records of meter installations and any issues encountered
• Clean maintain and operate equipment, tools and trucks
• Other duties as assigned.

• Desire to work outdoors and able to execute meter installations with minimum supervision.
• Enjoy hands-on physical work combined with leveraging technical skills.
• Knowledge of the use of various hand and power tools, as well as motorized equipment for general repair and maintenance work is preferred.
• Strong computer skills with general experience with Microsoft Office, iPads/ electronic tablets with an aptitude to quickly learn new technologies is required.
• Must be detail-oriented, organized, reliable and able to work under minimal supervision.
• Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills and be able to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences.
• Perform basic math, maintain accurate records, and handle multiple tasks.
• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• Valid driver license with an acceptable driving record.
