About the RoleAs a Retail Sales Associate at Curaleaf, you’ll be the face of our brand and the go‑to expert for our customers, helping them explore our cannabis products and delivering top‑tier service with every interaction.
ResponsibilitiesCustomer Experience & Teamwork
- Greet and assist all guests in a warm, professional manner to ensure an exceptional customer experience.
- Build strong and genuine connections with customers, ask thoughtful questions, and offer personalized product advice.
- Address concerns with professionalism and resolve issues to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Encourage loyalty by signing guests up for rewards programs.
- Work closely with your team to ensure a respectful, inclusive, and upbeat atmosphere.
Operations & Store Standards
- Help open and close the store, handle cash, and follow all procedures and regulations.
- Check IDs, update customer profiles, and process transactions accurately.
- Keep the store clean, organized, and fully stocked.
- Support inventory tasks such as restocking, fulfilling online orders, and counting products.
- Consistently meet daily sales goals by upselling, building trust, and using product knowledge.
- Highlight deals and complementary items at checkout to boost customer satisfaction.
- Stay current on promotions and product updates.
- Adapt to a fast‑paced, ever‑changing retail environment.
- Take on extra duties as needed to support the team and store success.
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 6 months of experience in a customer‑facing or sales role.
- Minimum of 6 months of experience using point‑of‑sale (POS) systems and handling cash transactions accurately.
- Ability to thrive independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced, compliance‑driven environment.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and occasional overnights.
- Excellent communication skills and strong multitasking ability.
- Comfort with technology and willingness to learn new tools.
- Strong time‑management and organizational skills.
- Effective de‑escalation techniques and a calm, solution‑oriented approach to handling customer concerns.
- Basic proficiency in math and computer applications.
- Positive, proactive mindset in resolving customer issues.
- Strong conflict resolution skills and composure under pressure.
- Initiative and a team‑first attitude.
- Natural ability to build rapport and maintain lasting customer relationships.
Even Better If You Have:
- Experience in a sales role focused on tracking KPIs and meeting sales targets.
- Familiarity with e‑commerce systems and order fulfillment processes.
- Previous experience within a regulated retail setting.
- Must stand for extended periods, walk, talk, and handle lifting up to 25 pounds.
- Occasionally required to climb, balance, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Requires close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less).
- May be exposed to dust, pollen, plant pathogens, and confined spaces.
- High stress tolerance, adaptability, and flexibility in an ever‑changing environment.
