Position: Medical Assistant - Medical Specialties - Multiple Clinic Openings

Description

Medical Assistants work closely with licensed practitioners to provide care to our patients. This role is responsible for administrative and clinical tasks, such as maintaining patient records, preparing patients and rooms for examination, and assisting physicians with exams.

Open positions are located at various clinics across multiple healthcare specialties, including Ear, Nose & Throat, Gastroenterology, Sleep Medicine, Neurosurgery, Occupational Medicine, Rheumatology, Kidney Care, Vascular Vein, Pulmonology, Liver and Pancreas.

Qualifications Associate Medical Assistant
  • Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands‑on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants or
  • Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program or
  • Has completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces or
  • Minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant that includes the following clinical skills: obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration or
  • Washington Medical Assistant Certification (upon hire)
  • National Provider BLS – American Heart Association within 30 days of hire
  • Medical assisting experience in a clinic setting (0–6 months)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Six months prior experience providing a high level of customer service in a fast‑paced environment
  • Six months previous experience in a healthcare setting working with an Electronic Health Record (EHR)
Medical Assistant Registered
  • Washington Medical Assistant Registration within 60 days of hire
  • National Provider BLS – American Heart Association within 30 days of hire
  • Six months of healthcare experience
  • Six months of Medical Assistant experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Coursework/Training:
    Medical Assistant, Medical Office Assistant, Medical Secretary or Health Unit Coordinator/Clerk
Medical Assistant
  • Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands‑on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants or
  • Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program or
  • Has completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces or

Career Growth

After meeting eligibility requirements, additional future roles many Associate and Medical Assistants may consider are Senior Medical Assistant (pay range $19.38–$30.23) and Lead Medical Assistant (pay range $21.54–$33.59).
