Tree Top Viewis looking to recruit a support workerto join the team!

Full-time
42 hours per week

14-hour shifts or a mix of early & late shifts.

Weekend work is included

£13.20 per hour

Tree Top View is located in the small town of Leyland, near Preston. The home provides residential support for six adults, including autistic people and individuals with a learning disability. We are in a semi-rural location, surrounded by lovely views and beautiful countryside.

What you’ll be doing

You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our residents well-being. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. As a support worker, you will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of residents.

Your positive attitude and passion for providing high quality care and support will be your key strengths, but you'll also have a friendly, patient and positive approach to work. You should be keen to learn and show compassion to care for the people we support.

You will provide support with day to day activities, whilst encouraging and promoting independent living. As part of our team, you’ll help people reach their potential, through both practical and emotional support, making a positive difference to their lives.

  • Supporting with personal care tasks, such as washing, dressing, eating, personal care and personal hygiene
  • Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as dusting, vacuuming, and changing bed clothes
  • Assistance and support to attend medical appointments
  • Observe, monitor, and record physical and emotional well-being, and quickly report any changes to senior staff
  • Encouragement to participate in social and recreational activities
  • Manage some behaviours that could be challenging

Qualifications and Skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a caring nature
  • Empathy, understanding and patience
  • Ability to work on your own and as part of a team
  • Ability to understand and follow policies and procedure
  • The ability to anticipate and respond to challenges
  • Competent in verbal and written English
  • A healthcare qualification is desirable, but not essential
