We have an exciting opportunity for a Bank General Practitioner to join our Primary Care Team at HMP Wymott, a category C prison located in Lancashire.
HoursMonday to Friday, 8 am–5 pm. Bank GP cover of holidays and sickness.
SalaryHourly rate of £85.

Candidates are required to have a legal right to work in the UK and, due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.
Main duties of the job- Deliver first‑class healthcare to a diverse group of patients.
- Provide clinical assessment and diagnosis and make timely decisions regarding future management.
- Serve as a highly specialist resource to other members of the healthcare team on site.
- Participate in clinical governance and effectiveness activities.

Qualificationsrequired
- MBChB or MBBS
- Inclusion on the GMC Register and GP Performers List
- Evidence of engagement with annual appraisal
- Experience working as a General Practitioner in community general practice
- Evidence of continuing professional development
- Ability to work with patients with a history of substance misuse
- RCGP Certificate in Substance Misuse 1 or 2, or willingness to undertake these qualifications
