The Role

As an Onsite Hire Coordinator, you will take ownership of customer hire requests from initial enquiry through to delivery, collection and completion. You will work closely with customers via telephone and email while collaborating with depot, transport and operational teams to coordinate equipment availability and logistics effectively.

This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment. Your focus will be on delivering an efficient, accurate and customer-focused service at all times.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage customer enquiries professionally via telephone and email
  • Coordinate equipment availability across the network to meet customer demand
  • Arrange deliveries, collections and exchanges in line with customer requirements
  • Liaise closely with depot teams, drivers, engineers and operational colleagues to ensure smooth service delivery
  • Accurately process orders and maintain up-to-date records using internal systems
  • Monitor open orders and proactively resolve any delays or service issues
  • Maintain regular communication with customers to provide updates and manage expectations
  • Ensure all processes are followed in line with company procedures and compliance standards
  • Support your business unit/team in delivering our ESG Strategy — Decade to Deliver
