Overview
In this role, you will support the Registered Manager in all aspects of home management, taking the lead on shift to delegate tasks and ensure that all records and care plans meet high standards. You'll lead care planning, reviews, and ensure compliance with Children's Home Regulations. As a mentor and guide, you'll promote effective teamwork while managing staff inductions, supervisions, and appraisals.
You will champion our young people by supporting their choices, encouraging independence, and responding to challenges with compassion and confidence. Additionally, you'll liaise with professionals and agencies to provide holistic support, manage on-call duties, and consistently uphold company policies.
- Lead on shift to delegate tasks and ensure records and care plans meet high standards
- Lead care planning, reviews, and ensure compliance with Children's Home Regulations
- Mentor and guide to promote effective teamwork; manage staff inductions, supervisions, and appraisals
- Support young people by promoting choices, independence, and compassionate, confident responses to challenges
- Liaise with professionals and agencies to provide holistic support
- Manage on-call duties and uphold company policies

Leyland, Preston;
Pay: £15.50/hr + £60 sleep-in;
Shifts:
2 on / 4 off
- Level 3 or 4 qualification in Children & Young People s Workforce (or equivalent)
- NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Children and Young People’s Workforce or equivalent
- At least 2 years experience in a senior role within a children s residential setting
- Full UK Manual Driving Licence

We re looking for a passionate and experienced Deputy Manager to support the day-to-day running of our children s home and lead in the Registered Manager s absence.
