As a Labor position at Siemens Mobility, you will support a broad range of activities in a dynamic, high‑energy production environment with a strong focus on safety and quality in the fabrication of carbon steel and stainless‑steel car bodies for the best rail vehicles in the world.

What your day‑to‑day will look like:
  • Move material between locations, departments, and outside storage.
  • Receive work assignments, oral and/or written instructions from supervision.
  • Operate forklift trucks and/or manually push pallet jacks to move within or between designated areas.
  • Trash, and dump scrap into larger scrap containers at designated areas.
  • Operate forklift to move larger scrap containers from designated areas.
  • Operate floor cleaner, vehicle sweeper throughout the facility to maintain good housekeeping.
  • Assist in maintaining and keeping work area and equipment in a neat, safe, clean, and orderly condition.
  • Perform other related work as assigned and directed.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean organized facility through excellent housekeeping skills.
To thrive in this role, you have:
  • High school education or state‑recognized GED, or equivalent combination of education.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Forklift experience preferred.
  • Basic English skills with the ability to effectively communicatively with customers, vendors, contracted services and other employees within the Company.
  • Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, memos and technical documentation.

The base rate range for this position in Lexington, NC is $15.50/hr – $16.94/hr the salary may be higher or lower depending on the budget and the candidate’s experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
