Travel RN - Home Health

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Home Health position requiring 2+ years of home health experience and OASIS proficiency in a rural setting near Lexington, VA.

Job Details

• Home health setting serving patients recovering from surgery, managing chronic illness, or needing post-hospitalization care,

• Typical daily caseload of 6-7 patients on a busy day,

• Position covers a rural area requiring significant driving and travel between patient homes,

• Mileage reimbursed at $0.50/mile,

• Schedule is Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM (5x8-hour shifts),

• One weekend per month preferred,

• Office is based in Lexington, VA with potential floating to other offices as needed,

• Charting is OASIS-based; OASIS experience is required,

Job Requirements

• Active Virginia state RN license or Compact RN license; pending licensure accepted only for candidates holding a single-state license from a non-compact state,

• Current BLS certification required,

• Minimum 2 years of home health nursing experience required,

• Proficiency in nursing assessment and documentation using OASIS required,

• Two professional references required for consideration,

• Valid driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration,

Additional Information

• Provide skilled nursing care to home health patients, including assessment and documentation using OASIS,

• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position,

• Local candidates within 100 miles are accepted; candidates within that radius are eligible for one 13-week contract only with no extension eligibility,

• All time-off requests must be submitted at the time of booking and are subject to facility approval
