Visiting Assistant Professor of Cognitive and Behavioral Science
The Cognitive and Behavioral Science Department at Washington and Lee University seeks to fill two Visiting Assistant Professor positions, each for 2-year terms, beginning July 1, 2026. We seek candidates who can teach introductory Cognition and/or Social Psychology, and Introduction to Data Science, as well as upper-level courses in their area of expertise. Competitive applicants will demonstrate commitments to undergraduate instruction and engagement of undergraduates in research.

ResponsibilitiesTeach introductory Cognition and/or Social Psychology, Introduction to Data Science, and upper-level courses in the candidate’s area of expertise. Engage undergraduate students in research and contribute to teaching innovation and mentoring.
QualificationsA PhD in Psychology or a related field is required by the time of appointment.
