Weight Room Supervisors part-time

Overview

VMIis accepting applications for part-time Weight Room Supervisors.

Candidates will oversee Cadet, Faculty, and Staff use of the new Cocke/King Hall weight rooms, aerobic equipment, and gym floor activities.

• Weight Room Supervisors will work closely with the Physical Fitness Facility Manager to ensure equipment is being used properly and safely and that malfunctions are reported and tracked.
• They will be responsible for opening and securing the facility at published hours and for ensuring that only qualified users are permitted facility access.

The preferred candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree or have extensive recent experience working with college-age men and women in a sports or physical training program.

• This is a Part-time hourly, 12-mo. position, maximum 1,500 hours per year, no benefits.
• Work hours will be flexible with some weekend and evening work required.
• Hourly wage based on qualifications and experience.
• A criminal background check is required for all selected candidates.
