Our company is currently seeking a Heavy Equipment Diesel Mechanic to support projects in the Columbia/Lexington areas. The Heavy Equipment Diesel Mechanic will handle preventive maintenance and general repairs to fleet of construction heavy equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Inspect, diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems on heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, graders, and trucks.
  • Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, lubrication, tune-ups and filter replacements.
  • Troubleshoot issues using diagnostic tools and manufacturer manuals.
  • Replace or repair worn or defective parts, using hand tools, welding equipment, or power tools.
  • Maintain detailed records of all work performed, including parts used and labor hours.
  • Ensure all equipment is safe, operational, and meets regulatory compliance.
  • Respond to emergency repair calls in the field as needed.
  • Operate and test repaired equipment to verify adequacy of repairs.
