South Lake Vet is a newly opened, modern veterinary clinic in Lexington, SC, and we’re looking for an Associate Veterinarian to join our growing team. If you’re a compassionate, collaborative doctor who values thoughtful medicine, strong client relationships, and a healthy work-life balance, we’d love to meet you.

About Us

South Lake Vet was created to be a different kind of veterinary clinic—one that feels calm, modern, and welcoming the moment you walk in. A place where pet parents feel heard, supported, and genuinely cared for. Where veterinarians and team members feel respected, trusted, and empowered.

We believe great medicine happens when expertise is paired with empathy. Our approach centers on clear communication, collaboration, and individualized care plans that support pets while empowering their families to make informed decisions.

About the Role

As an Associate Veterinarian at South Lake Vet, you’ll practice high-quality medicine in a supportive environment where your voice matters and your well-being is a priority. You’ll have the opportunity to influence how medicine is practiced, collaborate closely with an experienced support team, and build lasting relationships with clients.

This role is ideal for a veterinarian who wants autonomy, support, and a practice culture that values both excellent care and personal sustainability.

You’ll Thrive in This Role If You:
  • Practice medicine with compassion, curiosity, and integrity
  • Value client education and partnership over rushed appointments
  • Communicate clearly and kindly with clients and teammates
  • Enjoy collaborating with a strong technician and support staff
  • Want a say in medical protocols and workflows
  • Appreciate a calm, organized, and positive work environment
What You’ll Do:
  • Provide high-quality, evidence-based medical care to small animal patients
  • Build trusted, long-term relationships with clients through thoughtful communication
  • Collaborate with technicians and CSRs to deliver an exceptional client experience
  • Contribute to medical protocols and continuous improvement
  • Practice medicine in a modern facility with appropriate appointment times
Why You’ll Love Working at South Lake Vet:
  • You’ll join a growing, well-supported practice with a strong culture
  • You’ll be respected as a clinician and trusted to practice medicine your way
  • You’ll work in a thoughtfully designed clinic built to reduce stress
  • You’ll be part of a team that truly values compassion, collaboration, and balance
Perks & Benefits:
  • Competitive salary
  • Health benefits, PTO, CE allowance, and paid CE days
  • Mentorship and professional development opportunities
  • Employee pet care discounts
