Position Summary

ADON implements standards of resident care on a 24‑hour basis in the SNF units of the campus. This position oversees the nursing aspects, directing and evaluating all Skilled Nursing personnel providing direct resident care within the campus.

Essential Functions
  • Maintains resident charts, including all admission documents, care plans, records of care, and any other documents required by state regulatory agencies.
  • Operates SNF areas in compliance with all regulations imposed by federal, state, or any other governmental agencies having jurisdiction over the campus and acts as liaison between the campus and regulatory agencies.
  • Implements the administration of resident medications, assesses responses to medications and treatment, and makes appropriate adjustments or recommendations for nursing activity to be implemented.
  • Participates in and leads staff meetings and implements nursing program.
  • Conducts daily resident rounds and initiates corrective action as necessary.
  • Participates in and attends all in‑service training and education programs as scheduled.

Physical Demands, Work Environment, and Expected Hours of Work
  • Very active; requires frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and climbing.
  • Lifts or carries weight up to 50 lbs; pushes independently up to 250 lbs.
  • Uses proper body mechanics for resident assistance.
  • Requires long hours, night, and weekend work.
Travel

No travel expected; occasional travel may be required for training, continuing education, emergencies, and other company functions.

Education and Experience Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Two to four years of college or university degree required.
  • Current state license as a Nurse required.
  • Two years experience in a similar health care position required.
  • Five years of health care experience desired.
  • Remain in good standing with all standards of the Nurse Practice Act.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English fluently.
  • Meet or exceed company attendance and punctuality standards.
  • Use electronic records and miscellaneous software and office equipment.
  • Understand and follow directions as given.
  • Work with minimal supervision.
