The PT obtains patient medical history; administers treatment pursuant to referral; completes all appropriate documentation in patient records; instructs patients and families in needed care, assists in rehabilitation, and assists in training support personnel and in presenting in-service programs.
Do You Have What It Takes? Current Requirements- Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy
- Current state license in South Carolina
- Current CPR certificate
- Effective personal and interpersonal communication skills; able to document patient care, operate equipment and dispense supplies
- Ability to use evidence-based practice guidelines to treat orthopedic and neurological diagnoses/injuries
- Ability to develop treatment plans, provide quality patient care, and supervise assistants
- Ability to demonstrate competence in evaluation, assessment, planning and treatment
- Ability to improve and expand client relations with other medical facilities and staff
- 2 years’ experience in an outpatient setting
- Graduate of a CAPTE accredited school of Physical Therapy
- Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy
