• Adjust welded car body assemblies via heat or cold straightening to ensure compliance with all dimensions and tolerance specifications.
• Read and understand manufacturing drawings to verify dimensions and tolerances.
• Verify work using proper tools and equipment such as straight edge, tape measure, and templates.
• Repair fabrication errors according to defined repair procedures.
• Complete work order documentation, quality documents, and accurately clock labor hours.
• Safely use hand, power, induction machines, and welding tools.
• Meet company standards for quality and workmanship.
• Meet production schedule, quality requirements, and budgeted labor hours with limited supervision.
• Follow all safety requirements, including use of all required personal protective equipment (PPE) and contribute to a healthy and safe work environment.

• High school education or state‑recognized GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience in a manufacturing or similar environment.
• Heat induction straightening or flame straightening experience preferred.
• Basic English skills with the ability to effectively communicate with customers, vendors, contracted services and other employees within the Company.
• Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, memos and technical documentation.
• Basic math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, rates, ratios, percentages, and the ability to draw and interpret bar graphs.

• Comfortable working in a non‑climate‑controlled environment when required.
• Standing, walking, sitting, climbing stairs, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and using hands to handle objects or tools.
• Frequent verbal communication; occasional tasks may involve detecting odors.
• Ability to lift and/or move items up to 40 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities: close and distance vision, color differentiation, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus.

Base salary range for this position in Lexington, NC is $19.00/hr – $21.38/hr the salary may vary based on budget and candidate’s experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
