This is a highly cross-functional role that will be based in Lexington, NC, with reporting to the Global Vice-President of Engineering and be strongly aligned with the Global Vice-President of the business segment.

Position Overview

Product Manager (Food & Thermal Capital Equipment) responsible for the development, launch, and lifecycle management of products across international markets for your business segment. Develop knowledge of the Food & Thermals segment’s customer needs, the business needs, and identify solutions to address these. Lead cross-functional efforts across product lines and drive market-focused decisions and strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategize, plan, and execute product initiatives; identify target markets, size opportunities, and assess the ability to realize commercial outcomes.
  • Understand market trends, including regulatory and technology shifts; collaborate with partners to develop aligned plans.
  • Market intelligence: assess total addressable market size, share, and competitive positioning; communicate findings for formal decision-making.
  • Develop and manage product life cycles across the Food & Thermal segments; ensure timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder alignment.
  • Lead go-to-market activities: product pipelines, portfolio management, and ensuring a balanced mix of short- and long-term wins.
  • Collaborate with business partners to produce these plans and effectively communicate progress.
  • Coordinate with New Product Development, ensure robust project charters, and maintain reliable investment and revenue metrics.
  • Define market requirements and documentation to capture proposed solutions and opportunities.
  • Drive periodic assessment of ecosystem, pricing, quality, and material productivity; implement appropriate adjustments.
  • Monitor and manage product launches to drive timely revenue growth and margin improvement.
  • Utilize data from market research, VOC, and other customer-facing data to feed strategy development.
  • Ensure timelines and deliverables are met; deploy a complete and enforceable project plan.
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience as a Product Manager or similar role; relevant experience in the CPM environment is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Engineering, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred. Experience with cross-cultural teams and global markets is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to work globally and lead cross-functional teams; strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with product lifecycle management and new product development (NPD) processes; PMP certification preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills, including market sizing, competitive analysis, and strategic planning; proficiency with data-driven decision making.
  • Ability to travel up to 40% as needed.
