HVAC​/R Engineer - Lexington MA

About The Role

Two open positions: 1 HVAC – standard commercial; 1 HVAC/R – commercial refrigeration. Join the CBRE team delivering facilities management at a six‑building Bio‑Pharm site in Lexington, MA. Day shift 6:30‑3:00 PM. Responsible for maintaining HVAC systems, mechanical and electrical equipment; conducting proactive performance testing and scheduled maintenance; supporting preventive maintenance and repairs.

• Assign tasks to team members and ensure timely completion.
• Install, repair, adjust, service, and maintain electric or pneumatic control systems used for building heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration, including calibration of instruments, gauges, and control components; work on chillers, air handling units, and rooftop units.
• Inspect and conduct ongoing maintenance on building HVAC equipment to ensure proper operation and compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and safety.
• Diagnose equipment failures and determine the best course of action for modifications.
• Apply in‑depth knowledge of standard principles and procedures to accomplish sophisticated assignments and provide innovative solutions.
• Coach others and share knowledge of your own and related job subject areas.
• Lead by example, model CBRE RISE values, build consensus, and convince others to reach agreement.
• Work within broad guidelines and policies, and explain difficult or sensitive information.

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4‑5 years of relevant experience (or equivalent). Leadership experience in a similar setting is beneficial.
• Universal EPA 608 Certificate.
• Meet the physical requirements: stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs, and ability to carry heavy loads of 50 lbs or more.
• Exercise judgment based on analysis of multiple sources of information.
• Willingness to consider new viewpoints on existing solutions.
• In‑depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
• Strong attention to detail and an inquisitive perspective.
• Basic math skills: calculate percentages, fractions, and other financial‑related calculations.

• Competitive pay: $45.00–$55.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
