About the Role:
Aquila Technology is seeking a Systems Administrator to join our team in supporting one of the country's premier defense research organizations. The team is seeking an IT Systems Administrator to support Windows, Mac, and Linux environments across classified and unclassified networks. This role requires developing creative solutions to complex IT challenges while working independently and collaboratively. Must Have
* Certification:
Security+ certification (or the ability to obtain within 6 months of employment)
* 2 years - Supporting procurement and upgrade of existing systems
* 2 years - IA and IT compliance related to security measures aligned with both government and lab policies
* Strong customer service skills and communication
* 2 years - Assisting with maintenance of VM infrastructure
* 2 years - Windows, macOS, and Linux in classified/unclassified settings Nice to Have
* Certification
* CISCO CCST certification
* Security+ Certification
* Experience
* Currently holds a Secret Clearance (OR a higher clearance)
* Troubleshooting hardware and software issues
* Networks
* TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SNMP and BGP protocols
* Troubleshooting network issues
* Programming
* Scripting
Languages:
Bash/shell, Python and Perl
* Experience with security plans, procedures, compliance (e.g., DoD 8140)
* Full Disk Encryption (Bit Locker and LUKS)
* Understanding of security and cyber-hardening practices
* Hands on experience with OS imaging (desktop applications)
* MS Active Directory, LDAP
* Virtualization Technology (VMware, vCenter, Hyper-V) Key responsibilities include but not limited to:
* Providing onsite support for Windows, Linux, and Mac systems across secure and open networks for over 50 end-users
* Maintaining compliance of IA and IT related security measures aligned with both government and lab policies
* Supporting procurement and upgrade of existing systems
* Assisting with maintenance of VM infrastructure
* Supporting programmatic Risk Management Framework configuration, test and documentation
* Part-time travel in support of the deployment, test, and operations of prototype systems Must Have:
* Experience with supporting procurement and upgrade of existing systems

* Strong customer service skills and communication
* Assist with maintenance of VM infrastructure
