Principal

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Coordinate with the ETL team to implement all ETL procedures for new projects and maintain awareness of all production activities according to standards, providing support for existing applications.
  • Understand business requirements, validate designs, schedule ETL processes, and prepare documentation for data flow diagrams.
  • Document all technical and system specifications for ETL processes, perform unit tests, and prepare necessary programs and scripts.
  • Design data mapping techniques for all data models within systems.
  • Support ongoing ETL implementations, perform upgrades, patches, and operational tasks as needed.
  • Analyze complex data, interpret results, resolve data issues, and coordinate with data analysts to validate requirements.
  • Conduct interviews with users and developers, perform tests, validate data flows, and incorporate business requirements into design specifications.
  • Perform root cause analysis on processes, resolve production issues, validate data, and routinely test databases.
  • Develop and test ETL codes, analyze data, and support ETL scheduling to ensure compliance.
  • Establish and maintain standards for ETL processes and support the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with Metadata Manager, perform tests, and provide updates on ETL activities, especially for large data volumes.
