Cyber Security Architect – Lexington, MA (Hybrid)

Aquila Technology is seeking a Cyber Security Architect to support one of the nation’s premier defense research organizations. This role focuses on Cross Domain Solutions (CDS) and Cloud security
, with an emphasis on Risk Management Framework (RMF) compliance and NSA’s Raise the Bar (RTB) requirements.

Clearance: Must have an Active Secret Clearance and be a U.S. Citizen

Location: Hybrid – Onsite in Lexington, MA (3–5 days/week; local candidates only)

• Lead full lifecycle RMF implementation for CDS & Cloud systems (NIST SP 800-37, CNSSI 1253, ICD 503).
• Architect and secure Cross Domain Solutions in alignment with NSA RTB.
• Design and secure cloud environments (AWS Gov Cloud, Azure Gov, DAF Cloud Works) per DoD SRG & FedRAMP.
• Develop cybersecurity policies, procedures, and training programs tailored to CDS and cloud environments.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and implement remediation strategies.
• Deliver training on RMF, CDS, cloud security, and NSA RTB best practices.

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• 8+ years of cybersecurity experience, including 5+ years RMF and 3+ years CDS & cloud security
  .
• Proven expertise in policy development, compliance, and technical security controls.
• Hands-on experience with vulnerability scanning & cloud security tools.
• Strong communication skills to convey complex technical concepts.

• CISSP, CCSP, CASP+, AWS/Azure security certifications
