Everyone is trying to “harness the cloud,” but not everyone knows how to secure it. As a Senior Cloud Cybersecurity Engineer, you know how to assess and implement requirements that ensure the safety of information systems and protect them against intentional or inadvertent access or destruction. What if you could use your advanced cloud security skills to improve the security of the United States Air Force?
We need you to guide the development of cloud-based security architectures for some of the nation's most critical systems.
As a Cloud Security Architect on our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure cloud environments, such as AWS, Azure, and GCP, with a strong emphasis on container security and adherence to the DoD Risk Management Framework ( RMF ) . Your technical expertise will be vital as you work to ensure standards are met with information assurance and security requirements.

You Have:
- 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity
- 5+ years of experience in a cloud security in an enterprise environment
- 3+ years of experience securing containerized applications and orchestration platforms, including Kubernetes, Open Shift, and Docker
- 3+ years of experience supporting the DoD RMF A & A process, including authoring SSPs, POAMs, and performing STIG assessments
- Experience in securing a major cloud provider, including AWS, Azure, or GCP, and with scripting languages, including Python, Power Shell, and Bash, for automation
- Experience with container security tools and methodologies, such as image scanning, runtime protection, and network segmentation for containers
- Knowledge of network security principles, firewalls, IDS / IPS, VPNs, and secure network design in cloud environments
- IAT Level II or IAM Level II certification
Nice If You Have:
- Experience with multi-cloud in DoD Government or Gov Cloud regions
- Ability to translate complex security requirements into actionable technical solutions
- Cloud security certifications such as AWS Certified Security – Spe cia lty, Azure Security Engineer Asso cia te, or GCP Professional Cloud Security Engineer
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information ;
Secret clearance is required.
