The Edinburg Center is seeking a Respite Counselor for our community-based respite program to assist mental health clients in avoiding unnecessary hospitalization and transitioning successfully from hospital to community living.

What You Will Do:

Provide recovery-oriented psychosocial rehabilitation, advocacy, support, and crisis prevention/intervention services to adults in short-term respite care.

Who You Are:

  • BA and at least 1 year of experience with the adult mental health population required OR a high school diploma with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) model programs and knowledge of psychosocial rehabilitation preferred.
  • First Aid, CPR, and MAP certification within three months of hire required.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
