English Language Educator

Cotting School, a recognized leader and innovator in special education, is seeking a dynamic and collaborative English Language Educator (ELE) / Special Education Teacher to support multilingual learners within our community. This educator will work closely with a team of specialists—including instructional coaches, reading specialists, assistive technology staff, and related service providers—to ensure students receive language instruction aligned with their individualized learning needs.

We are seeking an educator who is passionate about supporting multilingual learners with diverse learning profiles and who is excited to contribute to programming aligned with Cotting’s DEIA (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility) initiatives.

• Provide 1:1 and small group English language instruction aligned with students’ IEP goals and language acquisition needs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members (special educators, SLPs, OTs, PTs, counselors, and others) to support student learning and progress
• Contribute to the development and monitoring of IEP goals related to language development
• Support classroom teachers in implementing instruction responsive to students’ language needs
• Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and professional learning opportunities
• Administer required state and local assessments for English language learners
• Model culturally responsive and trauma-informed practices and contribute to a collaborative school community
• Build strong, respectful relationships with students, colleagues, and families
