This is an intermittent tutoring position based on student need throughout the school year. We are creating a pool of tutors who may be called upon to work with students as needs arise. Major Responsibilities:
* Support students and collaborate with appropriate teaching staff to address and assist with student needs.
* Provide subject specific instruction to Minuteman students.
* Assist students with executive functioning skills.
* Tutors are expected to teach outside their content area as needed.
* Track student attendance and student performance.
* Communicate with all members of the team, including special education, REEL room, Guidance Counselor, teachers, and family.
Qualifications:
* Valid Massachusetts educator license preferred.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Ability to quickly establish rapport with students, parents, and staff.
Additional Requirements:
* This position includes but is not limited to: interacting with the public, walking around the school, standing for periods, occasionally lifting and carrying items, reading documents, using a computer, listening and speaking, using office equipment, maintaining energy throughout the day, and handling stress effectively.
Terms of Employment:
* Intermittent, based on student need.
* Hours will vary based on student need.
* Location to be determined (typically conducted via Teams or at an agreed-upon central location).
Effective Dates of Employment:
* This is a stipend position for the school year.
* The person who fills this position will be the contact for any relevant and important information prior to the start of the school year.
Supervisor:
* Assistant Superintendent of Special Services.
Compensation:
* Tutors will be compensated $76.00 per hour.
