Job SummaryDirectly reporting to the Facilities Maintenance Manager, this position oversees maintenance service and repairs in plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, machinery, electrical, and HVAC servicing for University campus buildings and facilities; oversees servicing, repairing, adjusting, and testing machines, devices, moving parts, and equipment that operate on mechanical principles; plans, organizes, sequences, schedules, and assigns daily maintenance workload based on work priority, quantity of equipment, and skill of personnel;
inspects equipment, structures, or materials to identify causes of errors, problems, or defects; collaborates with maintenance technicians to generate and update daily work orders in SAP; generates and distributes PMs, including lockout/tag‑out sheets; closes daily work orders with accurate documentation; coordinates emergency work and removes barriers for technicians; follows up with daily work through site walks, inspection, testing, or measuring completed work;
analyzes information, uses logic, and develops solutions; interprets blueprints, specifications, or diagrams; ensures performance of skilled repair or maintenance operations for 24/7 plant coverage and support. Additionally, this role directly supervises assigned maintenance technician staff, proactively and regularly initiates contact with customers and clients, and ensures the highest quality standards and compliance with all federal and state regulations.

- Driver’s License — Preferred
- Minimum of five (5) years related facilities maintenance experience, including knowledge of machines and tools, their designs, uses, and repair — Preferred
- Knowledge of building and construction materials, methods, technical plans, blueprints, and drawings — Preferred
- Certified Facility Manager (CFM) — Preferred
