A Japanese manufacturing company is currently looking for a full time, fully onsite Japanese Bilingual Sales Representative to join their Lexington, KY location.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with clients in the automotive, chemical, and food industries, mainly supporting Japanese manufacturers in the Midwest region. This position offers opportunities for domestic and international business travel and career growth within a global organization.
DOE and skills, the pay range for this position would be between the 65k-80k mark with great benefits!
Your essential duties would be as follows:- Conduct sales activities mainly targeting the automotive, chemical, and food industries
- Create and execute sales plans to achieve territory goals
- Maintain existing accounts (approximately 80%) and develop new clients
- Prepare quotations, process orders, manage delivery schedules, and coordinate project operations
- Visit client sites and factories regularly and assist in on-site installation or coordination as needed
- Build and strengthen long-term customer relationships with both Japanese and U.S. clients
- Perform market research and identify business opportunities in assigned territories
- Travel to Midwest regions including OH, IN, KY, MI, and occasionally Canada and other areas (approx. 2–3 business trips per week)
- Bilingual proficiency in Japanese and English (business level or higher)
- Previous sales experience preferred, especially in machinery, production equipment, or manufacturing-related fields (not required)
- Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- High motivation and willingness to travel frequently
