Brewery Representative

Job Summary

We are hiring a Brewery Representative in Lexington, KY. This is a full‑time, field‑based sales position requiring you to live in the Lexington, KY area.

• Sell the entire Boston Beer Company (BBC) product portfolio
• Focus on selling products and/or upgrading the number of product lines in retail accounts (bars/restaurants, liquor/grocery stores, convenient stores)
• Identify major accounts that are not currently selling BBC products, and develop a plan to establish business with such accounts
• Improve conditions and merchandise accounts by building displays, resetting coolers, and displaying point‑of‑sale items to increase brand visibility
• Partner with distributors to ensure orders are placed, products are received, and business is growing at accounts
• Conduct waitstaff/bartender education, beer tastings, and evening promotions
• Workday conditions vary due to customer‑facing nature of role
• Work weekends and holidays as needed
• Occasional travel for meetings and trainings
• Regular travel locally to service retailers and wholesalers

Minimum Qualifications:

• 1+ years of proven results‑oriented experience in outside sales or within the food & beverage industry
• Intense competitive spirit with an assertive, confident personality
• Valid driver’s license, registered and insured vehicle, and ability to drive to and from accounts continuously
• Ability to lift and move cases of beer frequently
• Ability to climb, kneel, and stoop to arrange and display point‑of‑sale items frequently

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree

Salary range: $47,000 – $62,000, plus discretionary annual bonus and possibly a car allowance.
