As a local Sales Account Executive, you will help Central, Southern and Eastern Kentucky businesses realize growth opportunities by introducing them to customized screen‑based advertising solutions. Our cross‑screen marketing approach includes, but is not limited to, industry‑leading digital products such as Amazon advertising solutions, You Tube, streaming television platforms, targeted automotive products, social media solutions, digital display, custom content opportunities, and broadcast television on FOX 56.
FOX 56 is a FOX affiliate home to best‑in‑class sports, including the NFL, 2026 World Cup, World Series, NASCAR, college football, college basketball, Belmont Stakes and more. It also offers the only morning newscasts that stay local from 5 a.m. to 10 a.m., providing maximum local exposure to advertising partners.
Responsibilities- Cultivate new relationships and strengthen current relationships with local direct clients while promoting station/company image and perception.
- Identify the needs of advertisers and prepare customized sales presentations.
- Consult with sales management on opportunities and clients’ specific needs.
- Curate new programs to maximize revenue from existing clients with a heavy focus on business development.
- Maintain a customer‑friendly attitude while being dedicated to company requirements and customer needs.
- Be a results‑driven, customer‑focused, solution‑oriented, aggressive self‑starter.
- Ensure all financial budget goals are met by using WDKY/Nexstar advertising products to prospect, develop, maintain, and grow your account/revenue base.
- Proficient in computer applications such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.
- Ability to multitask and operate with a sense of urgency.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong organizational and presentation skills.
- Confidence to speak with decision makers.
- Experience in advertising or marketing sales preferred but not required.
