Sales Representative – Connected World (Lexington, KY)
Join Intertek’s Connected World team as a Sales Representative in Lexington, KY. This role offers the opportunity to drive growth across key accounts, identify new business opportunities, and deliver secure IoT solutions to clients worldwide.
OverviewIntertek’s Connected World team provides a comprehensive suite of services that help clients launch secure IoT products, including cybersecurity assessments, network & product security certifications, and assurance services. The team’s mission is to bring quality, safety, and sustainability to life by delivering innovative, high‑performance solutions.
What You’ll Do- Sell Intertek’s ATIC services within the assigned verticals, accounts, and territory through client research, prospecting, and networking.
- Work with the Sales Manager to define and develop territory for new and existing sales.
- Meet with current and prospective customers face‑to‑face via presentations and trade show participation.
- Write and follow up on proposals, specify appropriate standards and pricing.
- Ensure superior customer experience by managing sales transactions and resolving issues efficiently.
- Log all activities in iConnect (CRM) and meet KPI targets.
- Achieve all sales targets, including quotes, orders, and revenue, on a monthly basis.
- Prepare sales reports and forecasts as required.
- High‑school diploma or GED.
- Minimum 1 year of successful sales experience.
- Superior interpersonal, customer service, written, and oral communication skills.
- Detail‑oriented, able to prioritize and manage workload efficiently.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Valid driver’s license with reliable driving record; able to travel up to 50% of the time by car or airplane.
- Must reside in and be legally eligible to work in the United States.
- Will be required to complete an I‑9 verification.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, communications, or a related field.
- Business‑to‑business sales experience.
- Experience with CRM tools (MS Dynamics, Salesforce, or equivalent).
